From the Native Americans to the
Trappers and the fur
trade, the Scandinavians and commercial fishing this is a part of the
history that makes today's North Shore a unique community. The North
Shore is like a magnet that draws you closer and closer with each visit.
Sooner or later you find yourself bound to it, wishing you would never have
to leave.
I was raised in Lutsen,
graduated from Cook County High School, pursued a degree in Physical
Therapy and Athletic Training at the University of Utah in Salt Lake
City. It was there I met my husband Scott, who was a Chef. We moved to
Plymouth, Minnesota in 1986, worked in our chosen careers and began to
raise a family.
My roots on the North
Shore grow deep. I am the granddaughter of a 1930s “Herring Choker”, who
brought her family back home in the winter or 1999. Our family
connection to
the North Shore and the desire to live here kept us searching for the
right opportunity. The dream to live here became a reality when we
found Thomsonite Beach Inn and Suites to be a perfect match for us.
Now, in our ninth year,
we are still pleased with our decision to make the change and move to
the North Shore. We have met so many wonderful people who continue to
make Thomsonite Beach Inn their lodging choice for over 30 years. For
those who are experiencing the North Shore or Thomsonite Beach Inn for
the first time, our goal is to provide a memorable experience, so you
too will become a valued repeat guest.
We welcome your visit and look forward to sharing with
you our favorite spots, while providing you with clean, cozy, personable
and comfortable accommodations.
